Grilled Banana Boats

I had the pleasure of babysitting my niece (Katie) this past weekend. After taking a walk, going to the park, and playing with the puppies, we made these banana boats.  It's fun for everybody to make and depending on what you put in yours can be *somewhat* healthy. It also might be the easiest thing you have ever made.

What you need:

  • Ripe Bananas & foil
Any or all of the following...
  • Chocolate Chips
  • Dried Fruit
  • Nuts
  • Flaked Coconut
  • Marshmallows
  • Peanut Butter
How to make:

1. Slit each banana lengthwise through peel (do not cut through the banana)

2. Stuff the banana with toppings of choice. Katie chose peanuts, chocolate chips, and marshmallows.

This is what it looks like after stuffin' it!

3. Wrap in aluminum foil and cook over a fire, BBQ, or oven until toppings have melted. Mine took around 10 minutes.

4. Enjoy! (Eat with a spoon)

I think somebody liked it... And not to worry, just in case she dropped a little, we had our own personal clean-up dog!
