Day 2 of 31 Day Spooktacular- Recap & Costume Ideas!

Every year I struggle coming up with an inexpensive, unique Halloween costume.   I think and ponder (and search) ideas and before I know it, Halloween is here and I rush to throw an outfit together.  I swear to myself that this year will be different.

Here are some highlights from our Halloween party last year. Maybe one of these costumes will strike your fancy or get your wheels turning...

My 100% handmade peacock outfit.
The fan took hours of time and lots of hot glue sticks.

Thanks for the sweet comment on my stairs. I am very pleased with them - but what a lot of work!!

My fav costume was one my mom helped me make when I was dating my honey. So in the 80's - yikes!!

I was a fly and he was a giant can of raid. He was armed with a fly swatter - big mistake!!

The next year we were a bunch of grapes. I never want to blow up another purple balloon!!

Your peacock is amazing!!! I don't know how you will top it!!

OMG all of these are great costumes. I have to say my favorite one I've worn was probably way back to when I was a care bear in grade school. My mom made it and I was so proud. Thanks for posting at the Rhinestone Beagle!

I love the peacock costume. My husband and I are going to be mad scientist this year. We already have one lab jacket and all we need to do is buy another one. The rest of the items we will wear and or have on us we already own! Super inexpensive yet fun and creative!

Good luck figuring out what you're going to be!

Loved seeing all those great costumes, Coley!
One year I went as a brick wall...similar box like the tractor, hanging from straps. My DH went as a "brick layer" (blush) wearing white painters overalls, a paint stained cap & carrying a trowel. People howled!!
