This past weekend I hosted a cocktail/appetizer party at my house. I was excited because I got to use some of my new dishes from the collection, "tasting party" from Pier One Imports...(and because I love to entertain!) These dishes are so dang cute and are the perfect size if you want to try a little bit of everything (or in my case, a lot of everything).
Menu:
Cheese Cubes
Flax Seed Crackers with Spinach Dip
Fried Ravioli in Vodka Red Sauce
Mini Bleu Cheese Pear Salads
7 Layer Dip with Corn Chips
Strawberry Chicken Salad Wraps
Mango -Pepper Crostini
Mini Quiches
Mini Cheese Cakes with Fresh Berries
Fried Ravioli with Vodka Tomato Sauce
Strawberry Chicken Salad Wraps
Mini Bleu Cheese Pear Salads
Mango-Pepper Crostini
Mini Cheesecakes with Fresh Berries
It is easy to get this look without purchasing a single thing. (Seriously)
If you don't have room to store new pieces of dinnerware or don't want to invest money into pieces you won't use much, use pieces you already have on hand!
Shot glasses, ramekins, mason jars, martini glasses, and cake bowls are all perfect for displaying goodies in a unique and fun way.

Instead of having guests get mashed potatoes from a bowl, serve them in martini glasses and let them create their own toppings. Or layer tomato, mozzarella, and fresh basil on a toothpick, set in a shot glass and drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

So at your next gathering, look around your own kitchen and see how you can serve things in creative ways. I guarantee it will be a hit with guests!

Wow, so many great ideas and party food! I really like your blog! I hope that you don't mind but I added you to my "Blog Crushes" page on my blog! Can't wait to see how those cabinets turned out! Keep up the great work! - Brittany
I love those mini-cheesecakes! I'm hosting a dinner party next month and you've got some great ideas. I'm following your blog and am looking forward to future posts. Cute coral color in your bathroom too, coral is one of the only warm colors I wear!
Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Hi there! Where did you find the glass bowls that you served the mini blue cheese pear salad in? I looked for them on the Pier 1 site and didn't see them. Your cocktail party looks professionally catered. I'm sure your guests enjoyed it very much.
Cindy, I did find those at Pier 1! They must have been out when you stopped there. Maybe you could find them online?
Also, thanks to everyone who commented!
What a beautiful setting! I like your Pampered Chef ware extra! :o)
