Why it's Best to be Blue

My favorite color is blue.

Maybe my fondness for this color is because it has the power to evoke so many different feelings and can change hats in various contexts. It can be energizing, calm, fun, cool, earthy, elegant, or just plain pretty.

Maybe it's because this color sings when paired with yellows, greens, or pinks.

Or maybe it's because of it's versatility- it works as a strong accent color or as a soft neutral.

    Coley, I could not agree more! Blue is my favorite color by fare and love just about any shade of it. Turquoise is my favorite shade though. Blues are so calming and remind me of the ocean, which I love. Great pictures! I love House of Turquoise as well! It's such an inspiring website!

    I am loving all these rooms, they are beautiful! I especially love the 2nd and 3rd rooms. I like the light blue wall behind the dishes and the big white couch with the bright blue chairs!

    LOVING these pins!! Blue is also my fav color - navy is my absolute fav shade, but I love all hues of blue :)

    I actually have a couch that is light blue, pretty much the same color as the second picture.

    I'm such a fan of blue in all shades. My daughter and I just finished her nursery which is light blue, but I love the aqua tones too!!

    i don't have one favorite color, unless 'peacock' counts, which i know it definitely doesn't

    well my favorite color is and always will be coral. I just love the color and all these pictures leave me wanting to completely re-do my house. My favorite, the vintage bench in the hallway of the middle photo! Lovely and great blog too. I am following you now

    I love that funky blue chandelier..so quirky and fun but stylish. My favorite color is red because it's rich and romantic, and I love earthy browns too.

    Any shade of blue because it's so soothing and reminds me of the beach :) Most of our house is this color, or if not the wall color then accents in this color.
