Oh subway tile...how I love you


Another project is (almost) done...my backsplash! 

Thanks to various youtube videos, I 'learned' how to install and grout a backsplash.  And thanks to Dustin, I learned how to properly use a wet saw to cut the tiles without taking my fingers with it.

If you didn't see my previous post, here are my gorgeous counters and temporarily painted backsplash beforehand.



This is what it looked like after we removed the counters...

I will be posting the tutorial later, I just was too excited not to share my 'finished' result.

  11. We're in the process of renovating a home we bought and we're starting with the kitchen. Your photos have convinced me that maybe I can do my own backsplash and I really love what you've done with the countertop and cabinets. Your kitchen looks amazing!

  13. great job on the subway tile~! i love living in australia but i can't wait to move to the US, buy a house and work on it~ of course all my friends who own homes sometimes with they were living in australia, oh well

  20. I LOVE this! I've been dyingggg to change our back splash to subway tile, but unfortunately we're in a rental and I cant :-( Ugh! One day!
